Pastor Jen grew up in Montevideo, Minnesota. She graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 1987 with majors in psychology, Greek, and religion. Pastor Jen graduated from Wartburg Seminary in 1991 and was called to North Dakota for her first congregations. When her son, Leif, was born in 1998 her family moved to Cedar Rapids. While there she held interim positions at various congregations in the area. In 2009 she was called as pastor to Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Ames. When Lord of Life and Lutheran Campus Ministry joined in ministry together in 2013 she became the pastor of both ministries. Pastor Jen loves to read fiction, listen to rock and roll, and go to movies.
